Deenbandhu Sir Chhotu Ram's role in Farmers' Upliftment

Abstract
India is an agricultural country. Many such great people have been born in every corner of India. Who worked for the welfare of the poor, farmers and laborers and was recognized as a man of that time. When India had not even got independence. At that time also in the then Punjab, a man of that era was born whom we know by the name of Sir Chhotu Ram. The British government, impressed by Sir Chhotu Ram, gave him the title of 'Sir'. People of the common class had given him titles like 'Messiah of farmers', Rahbare Azam' and 'Deenbandhu'. Sir Chhotu Ram was one of the prominent leaders of then Punjab. He had dedicated his entire life to farmers and labourers. For this reason, not only the then Punjab but the farmers and laborers of entire India considered him as their Messiah. This research paper is based only on secondary data, in which details of the contribution made by Sir Chhotu Ram in the field of agriculture have been given.
