Challenges of BNS 2023

Abstract

This research paper refers to the new laws of India (Indian Judicial Code, 2023, Indian Civil Security Code, 2023 and Indian Evidence Act, 2023) which have come into effect in the Indian judicial system from 1 July 2024, which have completed one year of journey. These new laws have been prepared in the Indian contemporary perspective and in a future-oriented manner, from which speedy justice is expected, under which a legal structure has been created in accordance with the contemporary needs and aspirations of the people, which is citizen-centric and protects the life and liberty of the citizens. These new laws are victim-centric while making the police accountable.

In the presented research paper, an attempt was made to see what challenges are being faced in the implementation of the new law which is about to complete one year of its implementation, which is necessary to know in time for the successful implementation of the new laws, so that the laws made by our Parliament can establish their identity on the world stage by providing the facility of speedy justice to its citizens.
