Abstract

At present, technology has seen tremendous progress. One of the most advanced technologies is Artificial Intelligence. This technology is changing our quality of life, ways of working, and communication. AI, in a way, is working like a human in machine form—solving problems, making decisions, reasoning logically, and learning innovative things. This artificial intelligence is of two types: Narrow AI and General AI. Narrow AI performs tasks such as voice recognition and image analysis. In contrast, General AI can replicate human intelligence and effortlessly accomplish various tasks.AI includes Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Neural Networks. Machine Learning involves algorithms that enable computers to learn from data. Deep Learning is a type of Machine Learning in which data is analyzed in depth. Machine Learning is the backbone of modern AI, where algorithms analyze data and predict possibilities. Deep Learning goes a step further—it works like the human brain using neural networks.

The concept of Artificial Intelligence dates back to ancient times and includes many stories. Formal study of AI began in the twentieth century. In 1956, John McCarthy first used the term "Artificial Intelligence" at a conference, marking the beginning of AI research. Additionally, in 1950, Alan Turing’s Turing Test clarified that a machine’s intelligent capability is not distinct from human behavior when compared. In the early period, AI research was focused only on symbolic AI, which used symbols and rules to provide information and solve problems. In the twenty-first century, with the advent of Deep Learning, AI capabilities have expanded enormously.
