Study of the knowledge of B.Ed. trainees towards Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Abstract

The Prime Minister of India launched the Swachh Bharat Mission on October 2, 2014, and considering the time taken to launch it as a national movement and the scale of the country, this is a significant achievement. The objective of this campaign was to achieve the goal of a "Clean India" by October 2, 2019, realizing Mahatma Gandhi's dream of a clean and healthy India. This study focuses on the knowledge of B.Ed. trainees about Swachh Bharat. The study is based on a survey method. A sample of 150 trainees (85 men and 65 women) studying in B.Ed. colleges affiliated with Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Rohilkhand and located in the urban area of ​​Shahjahanpur district was selected using a simple random sampling method. Data from this sample was collected using a self-developed "Clean India Mission Information Questionnaire." In the conclusion of the study, it was found that a total of 85.08 percent B.Ed. trainees have correct information about Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and 14.91 percent B.Ed. trainees do not have correct information.
