Abstract

Our country has been a heritage of education and culture since time immemorial. Our country has had many great thinkers, philosophers, educationists, writers, logicians and social reformers, among whom were Mahatma Buddha, Mahavir Swami, Swami Vivekananda, Swami Ramtirtha, Guru Rabindranath Tagore, Mahatma Gandhi, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, etc. Are. Radhakrishnan's name is very important among the educationists and philosophers of modern times. Dr. Radhakrishnan has made a successful attempt to establish harmony through his educational thoughts by studying the educational needs of the modern times by understanding the importance of education, its philosophy and old educational principles.
The presented research paper is based on the study of philosophical and educational thoughts of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan. In this research paper, an attempt has been made to compile the thoughts of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan regarding the concept of education, objectives of education, school, teacher, discipline, teaching method, curriculum, medium of instruction and women's education, as well as the field of education. Important contributions of Dr. Radhakrishnan have also been included.
