Legal Framework for Addressing Cyber Crime in India

Abstract
The 21st century is known as the century of internet and technology. In this time, every person and institution of the society is dependent on computers. The Internet has affected the working style of computers in an unprecedented way. From data breach and identity theft to cyber terrorism and online harassment, cyber crime includes a variety of illegal activities that exploit the vulnerabilities of digital systems. The purpose of this research paper is to explore the complexity of the growing problem of cyber crime in India and to provide suggestions to enhance legal responses in relation to it by observing the legal provisions for its solution. With the increase in internet usage in India, the growth rate of cyber crime is also increasing. By adopting a comprehensive approach that includes legislative reform, international cooperation, capacity building, public awareness and ethical considerations, governments can better deal with cyber threats and protect the integrity of the digital ecosystem.
