Abstract

The Srimad Bhagavad Gita, which is an excerpt from the Mahabharata, is an important text of Indian philosophy and spirituality. It is extremely useful not only from the religious point of view but also for personality development and life management. In the present society, where there is stress, discontent and decline in moral values, the message of the Gita is extremely relevant. The Gita teaches self-realization and self-control to a person through Karmayoga, Bhaktiyoga and Gyanyoga. It teaches that a person should perform his duties without any expectation, which leads to mental peace and spiritual satisfaction. This message of the Gita frees a person from stress and anxiety and inspires him to live a balanced and positive life. Apart from this, the moral values described in the Gita and qualities like patience, tolerance, and dedication enhance the personality of a person. It helps in promoting cooperation, harmony and justice in the society. Thus, the Srimad Bhagavad Gita is an important guide for personality development and social advancement in the present society. According to Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta, this universe is the manifested form of the eternal, uncreated, unmanifested Brahma. Purushottam unmanifested Shri Bhagwan manifests himself in various forms in the entire universe through his conscious and inert nature. The word person is derived from the word person. In the philosophical sense, person does not only mean human beings but all the living beings of the world and are persons because they are the manifestation of the inert, unmanifested. The abstract noun derived from person is 'personality'. Therefore, in the light of the knowledge of Geeta, it can be said that personality is formed by the combination of the eternal part of the unmanifested Brahma and the triguna nature. Shrimad Bhagwat Geeta is a philosophy scripture in its original form. This knowledge of Geeta is understandable, simple and interesting. In the light of true knowledge in Geeta, there is a preaching of internalizing the values in accordance with the real truth and adopting the conduct of Tadtaratmya. Srimad Bhagavad Gita also gives understanding regarding the desired true nature of knowledge, values and conduct and teaches to maintain practical harmony between them.
