Social Consciousness of Baudhayana Dharmasutras in Indian Knowledge System

Abstract
Sanskrit is considered the most ancient language and contains numerous texts such as the Vedas, Vedangas, Upanishads, Darshan, Puranas, and others. Within the Vedangas, the Dharmasutras are described under the Kalpa, from which the famous Dharmasutras of Gautama, Vasishtha, Baudhayana, Apastamba, and Vishnu are found. The Dharmasutras are the oldest texts. The Baudhayana Dharmasutra is considered to be from the Krishna Yajurveda. This text is written in the sutra style. It primarily describes the social environment, discussing various topics such as social order, law and order, religious practices, ashrama system, Shraddha, atonement, and punishment. It provides a deep understanding of the moral and social values of Indian society. The Baudhayana Dharmasutra describes three types of Dharma: Vedas, Smriti, and Shishta; their conduct is considered the source of Dharma. Upadishto Dharmah Prativedam. Smarto Dwitiyah. Tritiyah Shishtagamah. This research summary describes social life and individual duties. The relationships between different classes are described in detail. The ashram system, the status of women, and property rights are thoroughly described. The changes we have observed in modern society are also considered.
