Abstract

The inclusion of artificial intelligence (AI) in Hindi language teaching has initiated a novel and dynamic dimension. This technology presents transformative possibilities for personalizing the language teaching process, enriching the learning experience, and reducing administrative workloads. AI-based tools, such as conversational bots, automated assessment systems, and intelligent tutoring systems, can offer students practice tailored to their pace and needs, instantaneous feedback, and opportunities for effortless expression. However, this field also presents numerous challenges, including a lack of technical infrastructure, a shortage of trained datasets, the limitations of technology regarding linguistic nuances, the lack of technological literacy among teachers, and the risk of diminishing the humanity of teaching and its socio-cultural contexts. This article presents an analytical study of these possibilities and challenges of artificial intelligence in Hindi language teaching and attempts to provide guidance towards a balanced, effective, and inclusive future.
