Mother’ in Selected Poems of Marathi Literature and ‘Mother’ in Artificial Intelligence: A Study
Main Article Content
Abstract
‘Mother’ is the most primal, most emotional, and value-laden concept in human culture. In Marathi poetry, the mother is not merely the birth-giver; she is a living symbol embodying sacrifice, compassion, affection, values, labour, and the testimony of life’s struggles. From saint-poetry to modern and post-modern poetry, the expression of the mother in various forms is found. Poets like Yashwant, F. M. Shinde, and Bahinabai Chaudhari have given verbal form to the mother’s pain, toil, sacrifice, and silent suffering.
On the other hand, Artificial Intelligence (AI), emerging from the technological revolution of the 21st century, is advancing as a system that recognizes human needs, provides guidance, assists in decision-making, and to some extent, ‘takes care’. Therefore, a comparative study of the literary ‘Mother’ and the technological ‘Mother’ becomes timely. This research paper presents a comparative, critical, and literary study of the ‘Mother’ in Marathi poetry and the ‘Mother’ in Artificial Intelligence.
