Changing form of art due to change in technology and medium

Abstract

An investigation of how technology has transformed art, how new tools have brought about a sea change from traditional methods and inspired many artists to explore avenues with greater freedom. Technology has driven a shift from traditional forms of art to digital platforms. This paper examines how artists incorporate new media such as digital art, 3D modelling and virtual reality. These provide case studies and opportunities for developing the trajectory of art in this century of evolving technology.
