Effect of Vedic rituals on public life

Abstract

Research Summary Vedic rituals are the basic pillars of Indian culture and civilization, which guide to make every stage of human life sacred, pure, and disciplined. In this, the impact of various rituals from birth to death on social, religious, moral, and cultural structure has been analyzed. Not only this, through this ritual, an attempt is also made to influence the human being through the self-theory after death. In this research paper, through a comparative study of Vedic texts and folk traditions, it was found that these rituals promote discipline, social harmony and cultural preservation in the society. As a result, Vedic rituals not only make individual life sacred, but also structure collective life. This research paper is just an attempt to understand the relevance of Vedic traditions in modern society.
